I reduced the depth of the back by 1 millimeter and enlarged the holes for the magnets so that they can accommodate 2mm x 15mm stock magnets. The mount attaches flat to the wall when secured with double-sided tape or glue. In the images, mine appears to protrude due to the use of sticky Velcro pads.
