Modified version of BREAMI Valve for Decathlon Easybreath mask
thingiverse
Some Doctors who have tried using the Breami Valve report three types of problems, likely caused by printing tolerances: 1) Attaching the Breami Valve to Easybreath Decathlon Mask requires a lot of force to join it to the mask. 2) Once the valve is hooked to the mask, its removal requires a lot of force risking to break the valve. 3) HME filters do not enter the larger upper tube. To try to solve these problems we have compared the Breami Valve with a Charlotte Valve, which can be easily attached to the Easybreath Mask. We have verified that the thickness of the terminal part of the Breami Valve is almost double that of the Charlotte Valve. We have also noticed that the two air flow separators located at the beginning of the attachment to the mask, in the Charlotte Valve start with a slight curvature respect to the lateral surface and have a triangular profile. On the other hand, in the Breami Valve the two air flow separators are joined to the lateral surface and have a rectangular profile. So we thought of transplanting the terminal part of the Charlotte Valve attachment onto the Breami Valve, keeping the tongue of the latter that is more resistant. In the test of our modified version, we verified that the valve can be hooked and unhooked without requiring excessive force. We also verified that the larger attachment to the filters has a diameter that is too narrow to accommodate the HME filters. So we have enlarged the internal diameter of this attachment. In the photo gallery you will find comparison images between the original Breami Valve version and our modified version. We suggest you try to print the original Breami Valve first. Then, if the printed valve appears too tight, you can print our version. Printing Settings: - Infill =100% - Brim= Yes - Supports: For printing you will find an STL with smart supports and another STL without. - Orientation: If you choose the STL without supports, you need to add them and the valve must be printed with two tubes on the print bed Together we will overcome this difficult moment.
