Modified translucent butterfly necklace
thingiverse
Here is a remix of Austin Reid's necklace found on thingiverse.com/thing:543889: The attachment holes have been moved to inside the butterfly's wings. A bug has been fixed where the rib of the top wing would not print due to excessive shrinking. The translucent part now uses four layers instead of one, preventing z-leveling from causing problems. I also printed this remix using a material swap after the first four layers, as seen in Ericchf's design at thingiverse.com/thing:552835/. The butterfly has been scaled up by 1.5x in both the x and y dimensions for improved printability. When slicing the design, use an extremely thin layer of .01 mm for the best results. This remix was created using a standard Ultimaker 3D printer with purple 123inkt filament until after the fourth layer when I switched to a deep black color for a more dramatic finish.
