Modified Octopus Menorah The original is from Bcheirif December 17, 2014 (https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:598257) I modified the candleholders to keep the flame away from the plastic (as designed, the plastic catches fire and totally melts away). The new sockets are short enough to protect the printed filament from being close to the flame. The candleholders are sized for copper end caps intended for ¼” tube (3/8” OD) McMaster Carr #5520K57. I glued them in using silicon adhesive because epoxy can get brittle over the years. I then used superglue to attaché the sockets to the tentacles. I also changed the hand to hold the copper cup and shortened the two fingers to be below the edge of the copper cup. Then I added the holders to the octopus itself so there is no post-assembly of the printed parts, only gluing the copper into the sockets. It does mean all holders must be the same color. I also include a ring to use while gluing the copper end-caps to keep them level while the glue dries.
