Modified non-circulating hydroponics system - Bubbletop physics

grabcad

A unique non-circulating hydroponic system is presented, which replaces the float valve with a bubble-top dispenser physics principle. To achieve desired solution level, adjust the length of a 1/2 inch plastic tube (pictured). This design minimizes components to be printed; no float, nozzle, nor nut are needed, only a modified bottle stand and planters. PVC pipes serve as nutrient reservoirs, with a 3-way elbow connecting two pipes and holding the nutrient bottle. This space-saving setup can fit in corners of rooms, balconies, or house exteriors for optimal utilization. Models are designed for 3-inch PVC pipes, but can be scaled to accommodate 4-inch pipes as well. Further details and physics behind the bubble-top dispenser can be found at this link: http://physics.stackexchange.com/questions/88669/physics-of-the-inverted-bottle-dispenser.
