USE #MakeTheMasks I'm Guessing Covid Is Going To Turn Us All Into Goth Kids, Haha! This Mask Was Designed To Be Functional First And Foremost. Kirby Vacuum Bags Filter Down To .3 Micron And Are Electrostatically Charged In The Same Way N95 Masks Are. Kirby Hepa Bags Filter To .1 Micron. They Seem To Work Well, But I'm Not A Doctor! Use At Your Own Risk! This Base Of The Mask Was Originally Designed By Colton Zaugg, Spencer Zaugg, And Dusty Richardson. I've Just Added A LOT Of My Own Modifications Based On My User Experience And Materials I Had (Para-Cord, Weatherstrip). So Thanks To These Three For Allowing Us To Print These Masks In Time Of Need. UPDATE! Turns Out The Original Was Designed To Be Printed Without Supports. No Supports Needed! Two Mask Types: Type A And B. The Small Filter Can Be Used On Both Masks And Be Mounted From The Inside And Out, TYPE A - Type A Was Designed With A Lip Around To Wrap A Rubber Band Around For An Extra Layer Of Filter, Or Use If You Have No Filters And Need Something Quick. TYPE B - Type B Was Designed To Quickly Remove The Filter Cap, Swap Out Used Filters, And Replace On The Fly Without Removing Your Mask. I Designed This For My Aunt Working The Front Lines In New York! I Modified This By Making A Diamond Filter Punch Instead Of Square So It's Easier To Breathe Out Of The Nose. I Also Added A Flange Around The Filter Housing So You Can Use A Rubber Band Or Hair Tie For An Extra Layer. If Using Para-Cord, Cut Two Pieces: Top @ 42 Inches And Bottom @38 Inches Each. Use A Necklace Knot! If Using EPDM Rubber Weatherstripping For Gaskets, You Shouldn't Have To Mold Unless You Have A Long Skinny Face (Tested With My Roommate! I Recommend 5/16" X 23/64". That's What I Used On Mine And It Works Well. Cut The Weatherstrip To 14-1/4". If You Don't Have Gasket, Use These Molding Instructions: I'm Not Responsible For Burns! Use Common Sense! 1 - Drop Frame Only Into Boiling Water Until The Frame Becomes Moldable. 2 - Wet A Washcloth With Cold Water. 3 - Remove Mask From Water And Make Sure It's Not Too Hot. Warm To The Touch But Still Moldable. 4 - Place Washcloth On Face, Then Take Mask And Squeeze Chord Mounts Towards Your Nose And Push Up On Chin Piece With Both Thumbs!
