Modified Montana Mask
thingiverse
This is a modified version of the Montana Mask found at the specified site below, with added features such as increased nose room and improvements to the filter system. Original fusion360 files obtained from: https://www.billingsclinic.com/foundation/3d-printed-surgical-mask/ https://www.makethemasks.com/ I primarily modified this mask to serve as a dust and particulate filter, designing the filter to accommodate a single large filter or multiple thin filters with spacers. The fusion file utilizes a custom thread file that is also attached (a modification of the E27 Light Bulb Thread). 4/4/2020: I added some pictures of a filter example, using a first layer of microfiber pillow case, a center layer of blue shop towel, and a rear layer of microfiber pillow case. This setup does add significant resistance, so I would recommend using three layers for short-term use only. For dust masks and similar applications, I would advise using a single layer. 4/4/2020: I added a snap-on shield/diverter for the front of the mask, which simply snaps on and redirects air to the sides while blocking the front of the filter. 4/5/2020: I am currently working on a TPU/Flex filament gasket for improved fit and comfort against the face, with hopes of releasing it soon! 4/7/2020: I added multiple Gasket files, finding that D provided the best fit for me. However, without adhesive or silicone to hold it in place, other options may be needed depending on individual face types. The E file has too much material but can be trimmed for a better fit. I used eSUN elastic filament for the Gasket. 4/17/20: I added a 55mm Filter Adapter and Filter Cap, as well as alternative straps in case elastic is not available (printed with elastic and TPU). I also included a dual filter adapter for smaller original filters and a gasket for better adjustment. Adding threads to Fusion360: In the files section is the thread file, which needs to be placed in the most current release thread folder. The details on how to find it can be located here: https://knowledge.autodesk.com/support/fusion-360/troubleshooting/caas/sfdcarticles/sfdcarticles/Custom-Threads-in-Fusion-360.html The most recent version should be selected at this location: %localappdata%\Autodesk\webdeploy\Production\ The Thread files are placed in this location: %localappdata%\Autodesk\webdeploy\Production\version ID\Fusion\Server\Fusion\Configuration\ThreadData Once there, the thread will be listed in the create Hole/Thread options. You must put the custom thread files in after each update, as they didn't make it easy. Hopefully this information is helpful.
