Modified jaws for EEZYbotARM
thingiverse
I designed and printed the original EEZTbotARM, along with the ramp, using PLA plastic. However, the plastic ball seemed too light and unpredictable, prompting me to try a steel ball of the same size. Unfortunately, the jaws couldn't grip the heavier ball due to the flat surfaces on the fingers. To address this issue, I modified the fingers of the robot's jaws to improve their ability to grasp round objects more effectively. The modifications allowed the jaws to accommodate a heavier steel ball bearing with a concave surface that enables it to pick up the object. Although the modification may not be visually appealing, it functions well and meets my needs.
