Modified fan duct for Madzumo's A10 E3dV6 hotend mount
thingiverse
This is a custom fan duct for Madzumo's Geeetech A10 hotend mount tailored to the E3dV6 hotend and its clones. The original fan ducts were excessively long and would occasionally rub against parts being printed, which was unacceptable. This may be due to his specific hotend design versus mine with a slight difference in length; otherwise, his mount is excellent. His original mount can be found on Thingiverse at https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:2984898 I designed this set of fan ducts using Fusion 360 to precisely replicate the original ducts, and they fit seamlessly within the hotend mount. If the ducts are too long for your mount (heat-break screwed in farther than mine), I've included extra material at the end that you can file or sand off without damaging the duct. The ducts feature reinforced sections where the tube meets the mounting base, designed to ensure smooth air compression with a targeted airflow approach that utilizes turbulence at exit to direct the air stream precisely underneath the hotend nozzle. No sharp angles or corners exist in the air flow of the ducts for optimal air flow. A steady and even compression transition was used, eliminating sudden changes in air pressure that could cause unnecessary internal turbulence or friction within the air stream. No supports are required, and the ducts can be built using PLA material; I used PETG.
