The motors have their own voltage regulator separate from the RBBB's 5V output connected to the USB's 5V. USB-TTL converter purchased on eBay for serial communication: "USB 2.0 to UART TTL 6PIN Connector Module Serial Converter Buildin-in CP2102," $2.85 with shipping. It connects TX, RX, 5V, and GND to the RBBB after installing the CP2102 driver. Integrated Eggbot with Inkscape using cocktailyogi's project: http://www.thingiverse.com/thing:302148 To use with Linux, remove C4 capacitor near RX pin in "http://eggbot.py" (line 1348) and input full port name into the script file.
