Modified Control-box Cover and fitting fan guard (Remix)
thingiverse
I installed the Creality3D Official BL Touch package *1 with the included Pin27 adapter and found that the control box cover no longer fit; the fan position interfered with the Pin27 adapter. I decided to take action. I mounted the cover 1cm back, using the fan shroud to keep it in place, but was far from happy with that solution. It didn't meet my expectations. I used the cover (by S1ckn3z), removed the smoother mount points, reduced the height, shifted the fan hole and mount points 1cm back. But I wasn't satisfied yet. Now the fan shroud still did not fit, so I lengthened it with the same cm. It was a necessary adjustment. The 3D models are not very nice at the moment, but they print fine and work as intended. They're functional, if not aesthetically pleasing. I needed to use slightly longer M3 screws for both the cover and the fan, as the stock screws would not reach. It required some extra effort. The fan now fits perfectly between the Pin27 board and the TL Smoother holder *2 I use. Everything is in its place. Plan for the next version was to integrate the two parts, but that will require some serious amount of support material, so I doubt if it's a good plan. It's not worth the extra effort.
