modified Case for Open Source Theremin
thingiverse
I redesigned Gaudi's layout based on this link: http://www.thingiverse.com/gaudi. Since I bought a kit without adjustable resistors, I had to modify the case to remove holes for better accessibility. The holes of calibration resistors were also slightly widened so they would be more reachable after modifying. I originally removed rings around holes for ease of printing flatly but ended up with an ugly design as a result. A great way to obtain a visually pleasing case is by printing it vertically using i Brim (5mm) and orienting the object 115 degrees to achieve a flat base on the printbed. If you need to print from http://www.thingiverse.com/thing:978043 for a screw attached to the tripod mount, I found heating up the screw and turning it into the plate while cooling allows for an easier attachment process. However, due to a Theremin shield's layout issues when mounting banana connectors, extra 3mm bolts are used initially followed by adding nuts to securely fasten these banana connectors above them.
