Modified C64 case hinges, fit between existing posts
thingiverse
It appears there are several different revisions of C64 breadbin rear snaps/hinges available. To fit between the vertical supports of my machine, I sought out a version of Banman's design that would require minimal grinding and modifications to the case. As such, I resized Banman's model to 14.5mm wide and manually adjusted its fit using scissors until it pressed firmly in place. Next, I cut lines into the case plastic for glue teeth and secured everything with hot glue, opting for this adhesive because of its slight compliance and ease of removal with isopropyl alcohol if needed. Now, let's see how well it holds up.
