Modified Apple Box
thingiverse
Hello, PrintBug here! I'm not a big fan of Apple, but PHD3D's Apple Box caught my eye as a great teacher gift for the end of the year, so I removed the stem and swapped it out with a more realistic one from Wpilgrim's Apple Gears. My printer is set up for duel extrusion, so I printed the apple part in red and the stem part in brown, changing the color to green between the apple and leaf, then printing the leaf in green too. Despite some blemishes, I think it turned out nicely. P.S. This is my first remix, so I hope I got everything right. Also, please forgive any spelling mistakes. Print Settings Printer Brand: MakerBot Printer: MakerBot Replicator 2X Rafts: No Supports: No Resolution: .2 mm Infill: 10% Notes: I designed it to be a duel extrusion print where the right extruder changes from red to green at 74 mm. The circle at the bottom is not a built-in raft, and it has no thickness - I added it because lining up the stem exactly in the MakerBot slicer would be a major pain otherwise. With the circle, I can simply say "on build plate" and then "center on plate", and it's exactly where I want it.
