Modified 3D Printable Jet Engine Stand
thingiverse
The original design necessitated a crucial connection between two cut portions of the stand and a connector piece, requiring adhesive to secure them in place. Unfortunately, super glue wasn't readily available, prompting an immediate need for improvisation. This revised version, however, demands a different approach altogether. Eight round head M3x6mm machine screws and eight corresponding M3 machine screw nuts are now required. Notably, the stand features carefully designed indents to accommodate the screw heads, while the connector boasts its own set of hex nut recesses. Initially, I had considered employing M2.5 screws as a means to simplify the bill of materials. Nonetheless, these proved too long for the base of the stand, necessitating an adjustment in my plans. [UPDATE on 2020/07/02] The STL files have been re-uploaded due to issues with the preview functionality, which has now been resolved.
