Modifications for China CNC 1610
thingiverse
Here are some modifications I made for my 1610 China CNC. The power chain I use is this one (thanks to GeraldO): https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:119814. I scaled it down to 90%, then further reduced it by another 25% so the width fits perfectly to the aluminum profile (~20 mm). I modified the "ends" of the chain using these two elements: ChainEndFrameSide.stl (use M3, 8mm, T-nut M3 to mount) and ChainEndSlider.stl. The latter requires CNC_EndStopZ_W_PowerChain.stl and two counter sunk head screws M3, 16mm, along with two nuts M3. The end-stop holders are my own design. I use the following switches: https://www.amazon.com/dp/B01LX5I5J2/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_asin_title_o03_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1 and screws and nuts M2, 16 mm. The X and Y end-stops can be turned around one of the screws to adjust their distance a bit. The Y end-stops are mounted using tin flat head screws 5.5 mm to the top of the aluminum profiles on both sides. The X end-stops are mounted with a M5 12mm screw and T nut each. I didn't want to drill any holes into the spindle holder, so I created a slide-on holder for the Z end-stop. Simply slide it over the distance holders of the stepper motor, push it down until the "noise" enters the hole of the shaft, and secure it with one or two of CNC_EndStopZ_FixTube.stl. You may need to adjust the length of CNC_EndStopZ_FixTube.stl according to your CNC machine. ChainEndSlider.stl needs to be printed upside down to increase stability in the power chain element.
