Modification of the Hapo-G smartphone frame case

Here's a small spacer that I designed to improve attachment of my Hapo-G smartphone frame case to my bike. This support replaces the velcro used to secure it to the stem with a sewing solution. Indeed, the original fixing puts the bag too close to the stem, making it difficult to slide the zip opening without loosening the velcro. By adding 15 mm distance between the bag and the stem, this bracket solves that problem perfectly. Before sewing the holder to the bag, create a mock-up assembly to find the ideal position of the holder on the bag. You can also use glue (neoprene or glue gun) if you're nervous about getting poked with a needle. A small glue stitch on the seam is always necessary to preserve the waterproofness of the bag. To add more stability, I attached my new support to the stem using plastic clamps ("Colson") but now it's harder to remove. You can also simply reuse the velcro you removed from the bag before installing the new bracket – the slot in the bracket is designed for that purpose. Get out your sewing kit!
