Modification and Upgrade DD90 352

To modify the DD90 352 floppy disk drive for Thomson computers, so as to avoid disconnecting the DIN 14 connector during use of the CS91-280 controller and sdmoto.
Warning:
This modification is done at your own risk. Modifying the drive may damage it, which will void your warranty;-). You assume full responsibility in case of malfunction or if your drive/computer is damaged or no longer functions.

How to Proceed:

+ Identify the two points on the PCB (see photos). + Desolder properly. Use a cutter to cut the contact between the two points. + Solder two wires into these holes and check with a multimeter that there is no contact. + Solder them to the switch + Print the facade, put everything back together and you're done!
Note:
I use these switches purchased on Aliexpress Switches.

If you use a different size, be sure to modify the provided OpenSCAD file and generate a new STL file.

Depending on your 3D printer calibration, you may need to adjust the width of the facade and the holes. I intentionally added a small margin for this purpose.

I printed this facade in PLA, but due to its thin thickness, ABS might be more suitable as the facade tends to bend (but remains stable once installed).
