Modification Helios 44-2 to cinema lens

cults3d

I'm sharing my unique adaptation to transform the renowned Helios 44-2 lens into a cinema lens, perfect for use with digital cameras. This modification consists of five essential components: First, I've crafted a precision-made focusing ring that perfectly fits the lens's slots. Next, I've designed a diaphragm ring to provide seamless control over the lens aperture. Thirdly, I've incorporated a parasol to effectively block out any unwanted flashes. Fourthly, I've created a custom cover that matches the diameter of the parasol for added protection. Lastly, I've included a rear cover specifically tailored to fit threaded m42 lenses. These rings can be controlled using a follow focus or manually with ease. However, some force is required when placing them, as they're designed to function without screws. In my profile, you'll find a free adapter that enables the use of Helios 44-2 lenses or any other m42 mount in Sony cameras without a mirror (a7 series, a5000, a6000, a6400, NEX5 and more).
