ModiBot was designed specifically for SLS printing in Polymide, but we're working hard to make him more printable at home. This is the latest batch of parts pre-configured for printing on desktop home printers, modified to include integrated supports so they can be printed using 'No Supports' settings. For best results, print these items in PLA (or ABS, if possible) on high detail settings with any home or hobby printer. FDMFlexF-FC.stl was modified from FDMForeArm.stl by Kidmechano. FDMFlexF-FR.stl was modified from FDMForeArm.stl by Kidmechano. FDMFlexF-FL.stl was modified from FDMForeArm.stl by Kidmechano. FDMFlexM-M.stl was modified from FDMTorso.stl by Kidmechano. Changes: We shortened or altered the parts to act as an additional flex joint that can be inserted into the elbow or knee (or anywhere, really) and allow for additional range of motion. This will unfortunately alter Mo's proportions. Note: If at any point Kidmechano wishes these parts removed, they shall be removed immediately. Additionally, if Kidmechano wants to acquire/absorb/incorporate these parts into ModiBot Mo, he is free to do so with or without notice or permission, since the original parts these are based on were his designs (and these parts will then be removed due to redundancy). In all honesty, since Kidmechano made the originals, he could reproduce these in a superior way from his original files, plus keep them updated. Check out and support ModiBot. Print Settings Printer Brand: MakerBot Printer: MakerBot Replicator 2 Rafts: No Supports: No Resolution: Standard or High Infill: 10% but printing solid may increase performance Post-Printing Remove Supports These parts were designed with pre-built supports to make printing easy. Most of the tabs quickly break away when bent, but you may want to trim them quickly with a blade for clean edges.
