To overcome this issue, I simply trimmed the thick end of the clip, making it easier to mount albeit slightly more challenging. Now, my clips' thickness measures less than 0.3mm, comfortably fitting under my head, reducing any crashing concerns. A crucial reminder is to ensure that the clip doesn't press too tightly together, as this could damage the glass over time. Adjust the width of the clip using a screwdriver and pliers for a snug yet non-slip fit.
