The base and light element draw inspiration from the air intakes of fighter jets, a nod to innovation and technology. By harnessing the power of Fusion 360, I crafted the body and incorporated sleek bars that harmonize with the surrounding space. A seamless fusion of form and function was achieved through the combination of Fusion 360 and Cura for 3-D printing, while Autodesk Rendering brought the design to life in stunning detail. Though the creation process is a testament to modern ingenuity, the wall sconce is grounded on a humble piece of oak with a clear coat, adding a touch of rustic charm to its sleek profile. This deliberate juxtaposition was a calculated move to create visual tension and contrast. The horizontal bars of the body are playfully offset by diagonal adjacent bars, injecting a dash of dynamism into the design. The 3-D printing process also imbued the geometric pattern with an added layer of depth through diagonal marks integrated into the sconce's body. This sense of visual interest is further amplified by the linear grain of the backboard, which adds a tactile quality to the overall aesthetic.
