Modern Table Lamp
myminifactory
Hi everyone,\r\nVery simple yet elegant modern table lamp.\r\nPrinted using PLA with a 0.4 mm layer height at 80mm/sec. The lamp stands about 20 cm tall and has a diameter of around 10 cm. I used only two wall perimeters since I had the idea to do vinyl wrapping, which would have required at least three perimeters to reduce light leaks and give it an opaque look.\r\nIt took me five hours and thirty-two minutes to print. The lamp weighs approximately seventy grams.\r\nTo ensure better adhesion to the plate, a thick brim of about eight to ten millimeters is recommended. Supports are not necessary.\r\nI wrapped the 3D printed product with a wood finish vinyl wrap - my first attempt at it wasn't great, but I'll try again soon.\r\nFor lighting purposes:\r\nA twelve-volt LED light strip\r\nA DC jack\r\nA twelve-volt DC wall adapter for power supply.\r\nThere will be a small recessed area in the front wall on the inside. Stick the LED strip into the provided area (I had to use a glue gun because the strip's adhesive wasn't enough). Solder connect the LED strip to the DC jack (positioned outside the lamp on the back) with wires. Bring the wires outside through a small hole drilled in the back wall.\r\nAfter looking at the finished product, I have some suggestions for an improved finish. One is to use a matte finish vinyl sheet (the gloss finish makes the imperfections in the vinyl wrapping stand out more). Second is to use better quality LED strip - warm white LED color will look great with wood finish.
