My recommendation is to grip the suction cup by the very edge and “spin” it into place in the slot. You could also use a flathead screwdriver to help press it into place. MAKE SURE YOUR WINDOW IS CLEAN. If not, you run the risk of the planter falling and spilling dirt all over your desk :)
