Modern LED Arch Light

Custom design of a smaller, more modern version of Opossums can be achieved by creating a custom model. The original design is available at http://www.thingiverse.com/thing:1639224. I loved the original design but had issues with its printing quality. I wanted to create something similar and more modern using LED Strips from Costco, which I've been needing a place for. The new design needed to be simple and not as large as the original. It should have modular sections and feet that can fit together easily. The connector pocket and wire chase of the new design may work with other kits similar to the one used, but further research is required to verify this. Loose connections are acceptable in order to avoid fitting issues if the print becomes wobbly at the top. A slurry will be used to weld the sections together, filling any gaps and ensuring a clean finish after sanding. The custom design was printed using glow-in-the-dark ABS for an added touch. Unfortunately, four more sections need to be printed in order to complete the build. However, all pieces print and fit together with ease so far, making it possible to complete the project over the weekend. Print Settings: Printer Brand: RepRap Printer: Prusa Rafts: No Supports: No Resolution: .3 Infill: 15% Notes: Each section prints in approximately three hours, and each foot takes about four and a half hours.
