Modern Geometric Planter (No Supports Icosahedron Succulent Pot)
prusaprinters
Though I've seen plenty of nice modern, geometric planters on the various sites, I wanted to create one with a little more character. I designed this in Tinkercad and the very first print came out nearly flawlessly. You can print this on its back and it doesn't require supports. When it comes time to populate it with your favorite succulent, you just turn it slightly and it sits perfectly on one of the pentagonal sides. Print Settings Printer Brand: Sovol 3D Printer: Sovol SV06 Rafts: No Supports: No Resolution: .1mm Infill: 10% Filament: HZST3D PETG Marble Notes: The marble filament I printed this with is nice, but honestly you could probably get a better effect with some textured or metallic paint. Post-Printing ============= Outdoor Use This design should be robust enough to live outside in filtered light, but if you really want to make it an outdoor planter, I recommend spraying it down with zinc chromate and then painting it with an outdoor-rated paint color of your choice. Enjoy! How I Designed This Tinkercad Designed in Tinkercad. Category: Outdoor & Garden
