Another truncated icosahedron lamp catches my eye. The facets on this one are crafted to shade the lamp bulb only when viewed directly, allowing it to remain transparent to the inside of the lamp otherwise. This effect was generally successful but less impressive than I had hoped. The first design, modern_pentagon, modern_hexagon, and baffel, had its share of flaws: weak, flexible walls made hinges difficult to manage, impossibly tight hinges required removing a lot of plastic, and weak supports for the light-diffusing inner panels left much to be desired. The lamp you see was built with the original design. However, I revised the design, modern_pentagon_revised, modern_hexagon_revised, and baffel_revised, in an attempt to correct these three issues. You can print and test the hinge fit for the revised pieces; I expect them to be stronger and easier to work with but there may still be unexpected problems lurking. Feel free to tweak the parameters in the .scad file yourself.
