This customizable enclosure works seamlessly with the alternative snap spool holder for a Solidoodle printer. To create it, print six clips, four long hooks, two or three short ones, and one each of the lid prop pieces. Measure and cut acrylic pieces to size, ensuring they clear all printer protrusions. Notch the sides of the acrylic sheet with a file for a flush fit. Attach 1/4" diameter magnets to the clips and acrylic sheet using superglue if necessary. Apply rubber foam weatherseal tape around the panel edges, leaving a gap for the bottom hooks if desired. Next, insert 1/4" diameter magnets into the lid prop pieces, then measure and cut the acrylic sheet for the side panels and top piece. Glue the acrylic pieces onto the four props using WeldOn IPS #16 cement, ensuring they protrude slightly from the top. Sand the edges of the top so that it sits flush with the acrylic piece. Finally, assemble the enclosure by attaching the side panels and top piece to the printer frame using magnets and clips. Make sure to re-generate the holder with specific parameters to ensure the spool clears the lid of the enclosure. Enjoy your customized, temperature-controlled printing experience!
