Digital model of volcanic ash generated through terrestrial photogrammetry. Different components that make up a pyroclastic rock can be distinguished, including the vitreous matrix of volcanic glass, angular pyrogenic fragments formed by explosive fragmentation, and accidental volcanic lithic fragments that possibly belong to the eruption conduit or volcanic apparatus, as well as sedimentary fragments from the non-volcanic basement that are incorporated into the deposit.
