These are miniature figures in scale H0 (1:87), a common scale for model trains. The figures have a hight of approximately 2cm.

This is a test if figures in such a scale can be printed in an eye pleasing way.

All the following figures can be accessed here: https://www.thingiverse.com/Timo77/collections/miniature-figures-1-87-scale-h0

Print Settings

Printer Brand:

Prusa

Printer:

i3 MK2S

Resolution:

0.1mm

Infill:

20%

Notes:

i would be very interested in seeing some of them printed with a 0.25mm nozzle. Mine are printed with a 0.4mm nozzle and 0.1mm layer hight @ 50% printing speed

How I Designed This

I modified the great movable blender model from TiZeta (thank you very much for your awesome work: https://www.blendswap.com/blends/view/66415) to have a helmet and doing the poses I wanted to have. After that I added a baseplate for better stand of the figures.

This was a first test to print minifigures in H0-Scale, because I often read online that it would be impossible to print okay-looking figures for model trains. In my opinion the differences between bought and printed figures is not noticabele at around half a metre distance.

Category: People
