The M3 Medium Tank, also known as the Lee, was an American medium tank used by the US Army during World War II. It was designed to replace the M2 Light Tank and was produced from 1941 until 1944. The M3 had a crew of four: commander, gunner, loader, and driver. In addition to its primary role as an armored fighting vehicle, the M3 served as a reconnaissance platform for special forces units. Its top speed reached 22 mph on roads and 15 mph cross-country.
