Model Size Comparison Totem
thingiverse
I often found myself placing a €2 coin near my models when photographing them in order to give the viewer an idea of the size of the model was unnecessary. Instead, I designed my own dedicated "ruler" set in centimeters to provide a clear measurement. Some people use a small ruler for this purpose, but I wanted something more precise. In the sample model, after slicing the object I added four M600 commands in the GCode to change filament at each centimeter interval. This was entirely optional and meant to create a clearer distinction between each centimeter cube. If you find this model useful, please take a photo of it beside your favourite print and post it on social media for others to see.
