If you would like to show some gratitude for this model and encourage me to create more, you can leave a tip for me via PayPal at https://www.paypal.com/paypalme/Arogen67. Thanks.Hardware needed:3 M5 nuts (one to be printed into the inside piece, 2 for the M5 bolts)2 M5 bolts (to attach base to the platform)1 1/4 inch bolt, 1 inch long (to connect the inside and outside parts)1 small knob (or wingnut and washer) for the 1/4 bolt1 M5 x 10mm Male Thread Thumb Screw (optional)This will work with both 1/8 and 3/16 launch rods and allows for a tilt up to 15 degrees.Insert the rod into the hole in the top of the holder and use the thumb screw to hold it in place. If you don't want to use the printed thumb screw, you can use a metal M5 x 10mm Male Thread Thumb Screw which will likely give a better grip. When printing the launch rod holder part, orient it as shown in the images and set the print to pause before it prints the layer that covers over the area where the M5 nut goes. Drop the nut into the hole, then let the print proceed to seal the nut into the print. When assembling be sure to orient the parts so the thumb screw is on the other side from the knob. The base part can be attached to the launch platform using M5 bolts, and the center bolt is a 1 inch long 1/4 inch bolt. You can use a wing nut on the other end, but I find using a knob much easier. My launch platform is made from PVC central vacuum pipes, and the base is sized to fit onto an end cap.*Update*There wasn't quite enough material to hold the nut in place so I made an adjustment to that part. It also required the thumb screw to be longer as a result.Print SettingsRafts:Doesn't MatterSupports: YesResolution:1.2 layer heightInfill: 40%Notes:Supports are needed for the base, but not the other parts. It is a good idea to use a raft for the thumb screw, for the others parts only if you have adhesion issues. See the summary for details about printing the nut into the holder. Category: Hobby
