This is my brand new model rocket, an Honest John scaled up 1:7.3. It perfectly fits inside a PML Phenolic 2.5-inch tube with a 65 mm inner diameter. I printed all the parts using my Ultimaker 2 Extended+ in ABS material. To prevent warping with ABS, I used my UM2 case to close the entire thing up. The printing settings were 250°C for the nozzle temperature, 100°C for the heated bed, and a comfortable environmental temperature of 50-60°C inside the printer housing. The nose cones were printed at a finer resolution of 0.8mm, while the fins and rocket spinners were printed at a more precise 0.4mm. The Nose cone is cleverly designed in two parts that fit snugly together, with a 2.5-inch PML Coupler inserted into the base to connect it seamlessly to the airframe. The fins have a specialized cavity for a 1.5mm G10-fin, which adds stability and precision to the entire system. In total, this model rocket is an impressive 100 cm long and is expected to fly smoothly on a F40 or G64 motor.
