Model rocket glider concept
thingiverse
Here is a design concept for a unique, high-tech model rocket that can be remotely controlled during its descent phase. This feature is currently just an idea, but it has significant potential for improvement and development. To bring this vision to life, I envision mounting small servos inside the rocket's structure, which will enable us to take command of the spacecraft remotely and fine-tune its landing maneuvers with precision. Given the project's technical scope and dimensions, a crucial step in the design process is determining the physical parameters of the model rocket. To begin with, let's define the outer measurements: The body tube will measure 14 inches long by 1 inch in diameter. As for the stabilizing fins, they are intended to be approximately 3 to 4 inches in length. For manufacturing purposes, we anticipate using a lightweight cardboard material for the body tube while utilizing more robust 3D printing technology for all other components of the model rocket, including its propulsion system and guidance hardware.
