Model Rocket
thingiverse
This is a launchable model rocket. A first attempt at a unique creation with lots of discovery, learning, and prototypes. I am sure there are improvements to be made. A few that come to mind: * Center of gravity and launch lug position optimization * The clips on the fin can body and the nose cone are tough to thread shock cord through. Could be me, could be the style; likely a combination of both. * Tightness/tolerances across the board but specifically in the shoulder between the nose cone and fin can as well as the engine mount and engine mount plug * Fin shape/size * Other weight improvements * Shock cord choice - I used Kevlar but there are many options. * Baffle and/or additional exhaust ports and positioning to reduce effects from larger engine ejection charges. This is launchable and has been tested with the following engines: * A8-3 * B6-4 * C6-3 For recovery I used kite fabric in approximately 7cm x 90cm. The shock cord was Kevlar thread, really tiny to fit the clips.
