Turntable for model railway system enables storage of up to four rail stubs or rays in memory. Manual positioning can be achieved using a rotary encoder. The turntable features servo-controlled magnetic uncoupling or wagon braking capabilities. The servo motor is optional. Arduino-based control is implemented, with the Arduino Pro Mini being a suitable choice, although an Arduino Uno may also be used as a substitute. The Arduino IDE software is freely available for download and provides comprehensive documentation online.
