Model railroad, city water tower

thingiverse

This model city water tower, designed using OpenSCAD 2013.06, is suitable for model railroads and inspired by Google images of various water towers worldwide. Despite being non-scale and not based on a specific prototype, it has an overall height of 116 mm. Due to its size, it cannot be printed accurately on a Makerbot Replicator 2 for z-scale but works well for N-scale layouts. The water tower is hollow, with infill percentage unimportant; printing instructions emphasize adhesion to the build plate and a low resolution. Filament type, leveling the build plate, and maintenance are crucial for successful printing. This free software program follows the GNU General Public License and is provided "as is" by Wolverine Boat LLC, with version 2.A being the first distributed version. User feedback is appreciated, but limitations may exist due to the designed scale of model trains.
