Check out this awesome DIY project on imgur: http://imgur.com/a/gi9Bn. I posted it on 12/9/15, and it's now a super-improved version with interlocking parts in ten separate pieces. To assemble it, you'll need to glue the model in half - but trust me, it's worth it! The unique printing orientation provides an amazing level of strength that'll blow your mind. Each piece is sized for a standard 12" print bed, so if you've got a smaller printer, just scale them down and voilà! The dovetail grooves on these babies have super-tight tolerances of only .4mm, making it a breeze to snap the parts together. I took inspiration from Auriel's iconic bow image, but put my own twist on its topology - which makes this a total fan art masterpiece. Unfortunately, that means you can't sell this model under any circumstances! Here's how I tackled breaking it down into manageable chunks: first, I printed mine vertically in eleven pieces (because why not? ), and let me tell you, the speed was exhilarating - but at a cost... the results were somewhat fragile. However, by re-working my approach, I managed to split those prints up into an impressive 22 parts. Now you can enjoy a much sturdier model with enhanced printing on a flat bed surface. Give these three options a go: A single, unified model ready for print (super easy to deal with! Three separate prints featuring the entire bow design (get that awesome bow look! ) Or maybe even attempt eleven parts - yes, it's ambitious! Now about that instruction sheet - yeah, it might seem complicated at first glance, but it really isn't. Just check out the labels: 'Single Model' means one big print job with no need for disassembly afterwards (you can literally glue and forget!) There's also a special three-part version with all the handle elements plus bottom/top sections in perfect symmetry! Then, there are ten intricately interlocking parts, designed to give that signature look. Finally, don't even get me started on twenty-two separate pieces... yeah, I know it's more complex - but honestly? It comes out rock-solid sturdy! The choice is yours - see how these printing variations play out for yourself! P.S If you require more file formats or specific adjustments for those trickier corners of the printer, just give a shout and I'll make sure to share those fixes!
