This is my model of a supercharger with root-type rotors. The model is not based on a real product, therefore the housing is inaccurate. The idea is to understand how a supercharger gives the engine more air to work with and as a result produce more power. Additional required hardware: 4 four 10x26x8mm metal bearings and four 3x20mm wood screws

fit all 4 axles to the 2 rotors, make sure that the rotors still mesh when both front axles (the longer ones with the slot at one end) are facing in the same direction. The fins of the axles should line up with the end of the rotor.

fit all the bearings onto the axles

fit both the front and back lid onto the axles, slide them all the way onto the bearings. Make sure that the frontal, longer axles, are sticking out the front housing a little bit

lower the main housing piece over the rotors, and screw the front and back lids to the main housing

push the two gears onto the front two axles, that is why they had to stick out a little bit.
