I'm modifying a TRS-80 Model I expansion interface Expansion port covers. Big thanks to Jay Newirth for letting me borrow the originals. Please post comments and suggestions. I'd love it if these eventually turn out perfect, but they won't be without your help... The Mod I unit port cover is an edit of "TRS-80 Model 1 - Expansion Interface Port Cover by barrakuda Published on January 3, 2019 www.thingiverse.com/thing:3330282" Blank Cover Printing: When printing, it's probably simplest to position the blank covers face down on the print bed. I'm going to experiment with printing them upright to get a smooth external surface, but using epoxy and paint could possibly more effectively solve the surface problem. Connector Hood Cover Printing: The nicest prints of the hooded covers are produced when you stand them up with the connector bracket toward the top of the model. You'll need to enable supports, but probably only on the "inside". Use double-sided tape between hood covers and edge connectors to hold cover in place. They don't fit tightly enough to stay otherwise.
