John Dobson was an amateur astronomer best known for the Dobsonian Telescope, a portable and low-cost Newtonian reflector telescope that revolutionized stargazing. He spread awareness about astronomy through public lectures, inspiring countless enthusiasts like himself. In 2018, I received an 8-inch Dobsonian Telescope from SkyScrapers Inc., courtesy of the Amateur Astronomical Society of Rhode Island at the Frank Evans Seagrave Memorial Observatory in North Scituate, Rhode Island. The model depicted here is not to scale; if it were, it would exceed the limits of this challenge. Every component except the wheels has been scaled down to 0.2, while the wheels are a slightly larger 0.3. This design comprises seven key parts: three mirrors (primary, secondary, and tertiary), a base with a circular protrusion for the telescope's axis, a swivel base that allows for smooth motion, a telescope body featuring an eyepiece, reticle/sight, and suspended holders for all three mirrors, and four sturdy steel-colored wheels. The original and model both feature two black bases with a red telescope; however, the original lacked wheels, which I've added to this redesigned version for optimal mobility.
