model car building pieces
thingiverse
These plastic pieces serve as building blocks for educational projects, designed to be glued together using low-temperature glue guns. After use, they can easily be disassembled and reused by different groups. Originally created for a hydrogen fuel cell car workshop, the project was a collaboration between Arcola Energy (http://www.arcolaenergy.com/) and Learning to Learn (http://www.learning-to-learn.org.uk/). Thanks to Simon, who assembled all the wheels and bars. The fuel cells were sourced from Horizon at Arcola Energy's store, while gearboxes were purchased from Rapid Online (http://www.rapidonline.com/Educational-Products/Electronics/Motors-Gearboxes/Economy-gearbox-and-motor/10556/kw/gearbox). For assembly, the small circles on Sheet 1 should be glued onto bigger circles using acrylic glue, providing a surface for hot gluing onto 4mm axels. Longer bars with holes are provided for holding these axels in place. Sheet 2 features designs useful primarily for fuel cell applications, including parts to hold a 5ml syringe pressurized by an elastic band.
