Model Bots 2&3

Model Bots 2&3

I design 3D printed action figures I call model bots. My goal was to see if I could still create model robots like I did years ago and this time I succeeded thanks to YouTube videos on making ball and socket joints with software, and a 3D printer. With 14 points of articulation, the robot can move decently. I aimed for balance between complexity and simplicity and believe I achieved it within a day. If you want the files, adjust your 3D printer and skills accordingly. After printing, use a Dremel or similar tool to clean excess material from ball and socket joints with the right drill bits. Assemble carefully, sanding out excess material as needed, then use superglue to fill gaps. The additional CAD file shows what it should look like assembled. The displayed weapons are for demonstration only; find or make your own.
