I design this 3D printed action figure, which I call Model Bot M9. I designed it to make some essential improvements in the socket joints, particularly to increase their strength and flexibility. The improvement I made involves increasing the thickness of the outside of the socket joints to strengthen them, as well as redesigning them to provide more degrees of movement. Additionally, I modified the legs by adding two more ball and socket joints, making this character more intriguing than my previous 3D printed model bots. This model now has a total of 16 points of articulation. If you'd like to download these files, simply adjust your 3D printer settings according to your machine's capabilities and skill level. Once completed, you'll need a Dremel power tool or similar device, along with the correct drill bits, sandpaper, and super glue. As before, be cautious when joining the ball and socket joints together, using your Dremel power tool to remove excess material as necessary for successful assembly. After that, refer to the photos and CAD file provided, which will guide you through assembling Model Bot M9 and show you what it should look like once complete.
