Model Bot m5

Model Bot m5

thingiverse

I designed a 3D printed robot that I call Model Bot M5. It's an upgrade of my previous two designs that are available on Thingiverse. Both have the same 14 points of articulation for movement. But this one has some improvements - I redesigned the legs to make them look better, and I added mounts on the lower arms so you can attach accessories like toy weapons as shown in the photos. If you want to download these files, just set your 3D printer up according to its specifications and your experience level. Once printed, use a Dremel power tool or something similar to remove excess material and smooth out rough edges. You'll also need some sandpaper, super glue, and one of the CAD files will show you how to assemble everything and where it goes. Be careful when joining the ball-and-socket joints - use your Dremel with the right drill bit to remove any excess material so they fit together easily without breaking. If a joint does break, use super glue to repair it, and if necessary, fill in gaps with super glue if the joints move too loosely.
