Model boat single bollard (pulling bollard)
thingiverse
This is a prototype of a pulling bollard designed specifically for the Tamar class lifeboat, though its versatility allows it to be adapted for use on other boats and ships. The model itself measures approximately 20 millimeters in length by 14 millimeters in width by 16 millimeters in height, but can be easily scaled up or down according to preference. Print Settings Printer: Reprapworld Beagle Standard Rafts: Not essential Supports: Required for optimal results Resolution: 0.1 millimeter precision Infill: Not crucial to the printing process Notes: A successful print was achieved by layering at 0.1 millimeter intervals and providing minimal support under the protruding section, yielding a professional finish. Post-Printing Application of paint allows for customization; I opted for silver to mimic the stainless steel appearance of the original. Minimal filing or sanding is recommended (though not necessary in this case) to enhance the finished product. Design Process The design was created in SolidWorks as separate entities within a multi-body part, allowing for individual printing and post-processing of each component for improved results.
