Model Airplane Wheel Hub for 6mm Shaft

The HUB System allows model airplane wheels made of foam or rubber to mount on a 6mm shaft. It provides a versatile solution for upgrading tires on existing aircraft. Required Hardware: * 4 #6-32 square nuts * 3 #6-32 machine screws for an outer plate, either 1" or 1.25" * 1 #6-32 set screw; I used a 3/8" one for this purpose * An outer plate to serve as the sandwich base between the tire and the hub Assembly Instructions: After completing your print job, remove any internal supports within the nut slots carefully, ensuring all are removed cleanly. Next, insert the square nuts into these slots, followed by securing them in place using a glue plug in each slot. Once set, attach the hub to the 6mm shaft. With the set screw aligned and in position, I tightened it firmly in place. To disassemble the tire from its original mounting hardware, a method utilizing metal spacers to pry it off is highly effective; a pair of thin metal strips slipped between the wheel's center hub and its edge was just what was needed for this task.
