Tire and wheel assembly designed specifically for model airplanes. The diameter of the tire measures 3 inches, making it an ideal choice for grass runways where traction is essential. To reduce shock loads and ensure a smoother ride, the hub flexes to absorb impact. For printing the hub, PLA, PETG, or ABS filaments work well. However, LW-PLA may not be the best option as it did not yield desirable results in this particular design. To print the tire, flexible filament is recommended. A combination of 3 wall layers and a 10% gyroid infill pattern produces excellent results with TPU, providing the necessary flexibility and durability for model airplane tires.
