Model Airplane Rib Jig

Model Airplane Rib Jig

thingiverse

I came up with a model airplane building rib jig that holds the ribs upright and at a 90-degree angle to the build surface while setting up the wing. This jig can also be used to hold bulkheads upright for the fuselage. Two files are included: one is a single jig with a 2mm gap, and the other is a full build tray set in three sizes. Each size has 20 jigs with different thickness gaps - 2mm, 1.5mm, and 1mm - to accommodate various rib thicknesses. Be aware that printing the set of 60 took multiple days. I designed this jig in Onshape. The large size is the original design, while the medium and small sizes are scaled down to 82% and 66% of the original, respectively.
